Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
If you live in this parish or have a connection to our church, we are committed to supporting you
through life’s highs and lows. This includes those special events such as Baptisms, Weddings and
Funerals. Please get in touch below and include the event title in the subject line (e.g. Subject:
Wedding).
Baptisms
Baptisms are special occasions where we welcome a special person into the family of God! Who
counts as a special person? Everyone and anyone! Whether it’s a child christening or an adult
baptism, there is no charge and we would love to help you celebrate at St Francis. Contact us using
the subject line “Baptism” and we will arrange to meet with you to talk through the service, find a
date, and answer any questions you may have.
Weddings
If you are planning your wedding… congratulations! Celebrating your relationship in front of your
friends and family is one of the most amazing things will do. We would love to help you celebrate
your special day. Choosing to get married in a church is a choice to place yourselves and your
marriage before God. To get married at St Francis you will have to either live in the parish or have a
connection to the church. There are set costs for Weddings in the Church of England and we can
provide you with all the information that you need to know. Contact us using the subject line
“Wedding” and we will arrange a first meeting with you to discuss all of the details.
Funerals
If someone you know has died or is dying, we are here to support you. This may include holding a
funeral at St Francis Church. Organising a funeral is usually done through a Funeral Director of your
choice but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like support during this time.
